1. Who we are

DEF Rx is operated by Hook & Haul LLC d/b/a DEF Rx ("we", "us"), in partnership with Carbon B Gone. We provide a platform for requesting, dispatching, and tracking DEF system and DPF cleaning service performed by mobile technicians.

2. Data we collect

• Account and contact information: name, company, email address, phone number.
• Fleet and vehicle information: VIN, make/model/year, unit number, mileage, and service history.
• Location data: service address, and GPS coordinates from requesters and technicians while a job is active (used for dispatch, routing, ETA, and arrival verification).
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We store limited billing metadata (amounts, status, last four digits) — never full card numbers.
• Communications: in-app messages, job photos, signatures, and support correspondence.
• Technical data: device/browser information and basic usage logs.

3. How we use data

• To create accounts, authenticate users, and operate the platform.
• To dispatch technicians, route them, and provide live tracking and ETAs.
• To send maintenance and service alerts, job updates, and receipts.
• To process payments and maintain billing records.
• To improve service quality, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.

4. Third-party services

We share the minimum data necessary with service providers that help us run the platform:

• Google Maps Platform — address lookup, mapping, routing, and ETA calculation.
• Stripe — payment processing and billing.
• Twilio — SMS notifications about job status.
• Cloud hosting, database, and email providers — storage, authentication, and transactional email delivery.

We do not sell personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the messaging provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the messages you requested.

4a. SMS text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and check the SMS consent box on our service request form, DEF Rx (Hook & Haul LLC d/b/a DEF Rx, in partnership with Carbon B Gone) may text you about your service request — dispatch confirmations, technician en-route and arrival updates, and job completion notices. Message frequency varies by job activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

5. Data retention

We retain account, service, and billing records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as needed for legal, tax, warranty, and dispute-resolution purposes. Live location breadcrumbs are retained only for a short operational window after a job closes. [RETENTION PERIODS TO BE CONFIRMED BY COUNSEL]

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can also disable location sharing in your device settings, though this may limit dispatch accuracy.

7. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level database security to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
